PHOENIX -- A Phoenix woman has been accused of reckless manslaughter in a fatal crash last weekend.

Michelle Nicole Ayers had her initial court appearance Monday and her bond was set at $7,500.

Phoenix police said 47-year-old Christopher James Kutcher died early Saturday after his SUV was hit from behind on Cactus Road near 40th Street.

Police said tests on Ayers showed a blood-alcohol level than three times the state's legal limit.

Ayers' vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and knocked Kutcher's SUV off the street and into a block wall and a tree.

Ayers has a status conference scheduled Friday and a preliminary hearing on June 17.
