PHOENIX -- A Phoenix man was taken into in custody this week after his baby son ingested methamphetamine off his thumb.
Authorities said 24-year-old Christopher Telles is being held on suspicion of child abuse.
Court records showed Telles brought the infant to a Maricopa County hospital on April 27.
The 11-week-old was suffering from what appeared to be seizures.
Telles later told officers that he had crushed a rock-like form of methamphetamine the previous day.
When the infant was crying, Telles told police that he used his thumb to calm the baby down and his thumb had methamphetamine on it.
Telles was arrested Wednesday.
