West Phoenix freeway ramp reopens after crash, gas line leak

PHOENIX -- One person was injured and a neighborhood in west Phoenix was evacuated Monday after a gas leak.

Crews were working on the leak of a natural gas line near Interstate 10 and 51st Avenue, caused when two cars crashed in the area, damaging a gas line.

The area was be shut down for several hours. The intersection reopened shortly before 3 p.m.
