SUPERIOR, Ariz. -- A Gilbert man reported missing earlier this week has been found dead in Superior.

Pinal County Sheriff's officials said the body of 36-year-old Eric Silverstein was located Friday near the base of the bridge on U.S. 60 that connects Superior to Globe.

A possible cause of death wasn't immediately disclosed by authorities.

Silverstein was director of the K-12 Partnerships at the Arizona Science Center in Phoenix.

He was last seen at a convenience store in Superior early Wednesday morning.

Silverstein was reported missing after he failed to message family members or show up to work.

His wife told the Arizona Republic that Silverstein had a history of depression, but showed no signs of distress in recent weeks.

The couple has toddler-aged triplet daughters.
