One firefighter treated after Valley attic fire

PHOENIX — A firefighter was treated for heat illness after an attic fire on Tuesday, the Scottsdale Fire Department said.

The firefighter was one of several from both Tempe and Scottsdale departments who responded to a fire in the attic of a home.

The condition of the firefighter was not immediately available.

The fire originally began in a shed before jumping to a tree and into the attic. The cause is unknown.
