LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. -- A 43-year-old former elementary school teacher in Lake Havasu City faces prison time after pleading guilty to a drug charge.

The Today's News-Herald reports that Stefanie Rachelle Courson originally was accused of selling hundreds of pills of prescription drugs to an undercover police detective when arrested in December.

She pleaded guilty Friday in Mohave County Superior Court to a felony charge of solicitation of sale of narcotics drugs.

Seven counts of other drug charges were dropped as part of a plea agreement.

Court documents indicate Courson will serve between 18 and 30 months in prison. She also could be fined to $150,000, at the judge's discretion.

Sentencing is set for July 11.
