PHOENIX — The memory of a fallen Phoenix firefighter was honored Monday during an unveiling of a historical marker designating the site of his death.
One year ago, Brad C. Harper was accidentally pinned between a firetruck and ambulance while mopping up a fire. The marker was placed about one block from where he died.
“The memorial is a reminder of the ultimate sacrifice he paid protecting citizens and this community,” said Phoenix Fire Capt. Tony Mure
The accident happened near 38th Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road.
