Allegiant Air flight evacuated in suburban Phoenix

PHOENIX — An Allegiant Airways flight was evacuated on the runway at Mesa-Gateway Aiport on Monday, the Federal Aviation Administration said in an email.
Flight 142 was readying for departure about 1:30 p.m. when the pilot said he smelled some sort of chemical.
The plane was evacuated. Passengers left the plane using slides.
No injuries have been reported.
The FAA is investigating the cause of the smell.
