PHOENIX -- A shoplifting suspect is accused of trying to run down a Phoenix police officer with her car.

Regina Harris had her initial court appearance Monday. Her bond was set at $15,000.

The 44-year-old Harris was arrested Saturday on suspicion of retail theft, assault, unlawful flight and aggravated assault on a police officer.

She allegedly put merchandise in her purse at a Walmart and was trying to leave the store when an employee tried to detain her.

Court documents showed that Harris became combative and allegedly bit the employee.

Harris then ran to her vehicle and drove off at a high rate of speed. She later hit an officer, briefly pinning him underneath the vehicle's rear bumper. The officer suffered minor injuries.
