CHANDLER, Ariz. -- Authorities said a Chandler police officer was arrested after arriving at a job while drunk.
The 53-year-old officer was arrested Sunday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence after arriving at an extra-duty job. Police spokesman Detective Seth Tyler said the officer's partner at the job noticed he was impaired and called for assistance.
He was taken to a hospital after medical personnel evaluated him.
Charges are pending lab results. He is on paid administrative leave while the incident is investigated.
