Phoenix couple claims $3.3M lottery jackpot
PHOENIX -- A Phoenix couple has claimed a $3.3 million Arizona Lottery jackpot.
Robert Brito said he and his wife Anna waited two weeks to come forward because they wanted to get their finances in order and prepare to responsibly handle their windfall.
He said the couple has invested the winnings, which will go to a trust fund for their whole family.
Brito also said he planned to keep working.
The winning ticket for The Pick jackpot for the April 26 drawing was sold at a Glendale convenience store.
When he heard the winning numbers, Brito said he asked his daughter to look over the ticket and make sure it was the winner. When they knew it was real, they called his wife to tell her the news.
