NOGALES, Ariz. -- Authorities have seized more than 2,400 pounds of marijuana found hidden in a shipment of jalapenos in a tractor-trailer stopped at the southern Arizona border.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Mariposa cargo facility referred a big rig for an additional inspection Wednesday.

They reported finding 105 bales of marijuana, worth more than $1.2 million.

A 50-year-old Mexican man who was driving the big rig was arrested and turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations along with the marijuana.

The man's name wasn't released.
