PHOENIX -- A man accused in Texas of homicide and other crimes has been arrested in Arizona.

The U.S. Marshals Service said 27-year-old Daniel Smith was arrested Thursday in the Phoenix suburb of Peoria.

Smith is wanted by police in Odessa, Texas, where he is accused of homicide, assault with a deadly weapon and assault on a family member causing bodily injury.

Some of the charges stem from the stabbings of two people, including one person who died.

Smith also had an active warrant for parole violation. He was captured at a relative's home.
