GLENDALE, Ariz. -- A Glendale fire truck responding to a medical call instead got stuck in a sinkhole.

Authorities said one of the truck's rear wheels fell through the pavement in the parking lot of a drugstore store Thursday morning at 35th and Peoria avenues.

The sinkhole was up to 7 feet deep and about 15 feet wide.

Fire crews had to empty the water to lift the truck.

It's unclear if the truck was damaged.
