PHOENIX -- Authorities say a man who allegedly threatened a Phoenix bus driver with a knife last month is in custody.

Phoenix police say 33-year-old Elio A. Salas was arrested Tuesday while ironically riding a city bus.

He's being held on suspicion of aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and assault.

Salas allegedly threatened a bus driver with a large hunting knife on April 27.

Police say Salas argued with the woman over a reduced-fare card and later fled the scene.
