MESA, Ariz. -- The Arizona Department of Public Safety says one of its officers and another driver were injured in a roadside collision on U.S. 60 in Mesa.

The DPS says the officer was stopped on the right shoulder with his emergency lights on while he was finishing writing notes from a traffic stop he had just finished Monday morning.

According to DPS, a pickup truck veered to the right and hit the officer's parked patrol car and then rolled over.

DPS says the injuries to the officer and the other driver are not life-threatening.
