PHOENIX — The lockdown of five East Valley schools was lifted Monday after reports of a man with a weapon was seen near Chandler High School.
No gunman has been found, police said.
St. Mary Basha Catholic School, Frye Elementary, Galveston Elementary and Chandler Christian Academy were also closed off by authorities. Chandler Police said the lockdowns were a precaution.
Police said they received a call about someone in the area of Erie and Delaware/Hamilton streets getting out of a vehicle carrying a rifle.
