Arizona officer arrested during out-of-town training
PHOENIX -- An Arizona Department of Public Safety training officer on assignment in Nashville, Tenn., has been placed on paid administrative leave after being arrested, according to a news report.
Timothy Merrill, 32, an impairment-training coordinator, was booked on disorderly conduct charges after causing a scene at a bar Wednesday night.
DPS confirmed Thursday that Merrill was assigned to the training unit and was on leave while the department investigated the incident.
Bail was set at $8,000.
