PHOENIX -- A constituent-services worker in state Attorney General Tom Horne's office has resigned, citing alleged violations of campaign law.

Sarah Beattie's April 22 resignation email doesn't specify the alleged violations but said she decided to leave because she's concerned that they could put her at risk legally.

Horne spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham said Horne denies Beattie's allegation that there have been violations and calls her claim a "complete fabrication."

Beattie has done volunteer work as a fundraiser for Horne's campaign. State law bars workers from doing political work on state time.

Beattie's last day at the office was Friday.
