Phoenix museum to showcase D-backs exhibit for kids

PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks are pitching a new museum exhibit to their youngest fans.

D-backs President/CEO Derrick Hall and pitcher J.J. Putz will unveil the "Move It!" exhibit at the Phoenix Children's Museum on Saturday morning.

Museum officials said the baseball-themed outdoor display is designed to encourage kids to learn through play and movement.

The exhibit is made from repurposed materials and includes the Willie Maze.

The Diamondbacks Foundation said it donated $100,000 to the project as part of its grants program.

The museum opens at 9 a.m. D-backs mascot Baxter is scheduled to be there at 11 a.m.
