TUCSON, Ariz. -- An Arizona man has pleaded guilty to a felony animal cruelty charge after emaciated animals were discovered on his property.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department says 62-year-old Dennis Woblick is set to be sentenced next month.

The charges stem from the discovery last summer of two severely emaciated horses and one dog after deputies issued a warrant to search Woblick's property. At the time, Woblick owned three horses and three dogs.

The horses were sent to Healing Hearts Rescue and Refuge in the Wilcox area and the dogs were rescued by the Pima Animal Care Center.

Authorities say the horses have since been rehabilitated and the dogs were adopted through the animal shelter.
