Phoenix hosting annual Earth Day information event

PHOENIX -- Every year, the city of Phoenix continues to improve upon its annual Earth Day celebration.

Keep Phoenix Beautiful will host Earth Day Phoenix, an event becoming a tradition, on Tuesday at Cesar Chavez Plaza across from Phoenix City Hall in downtown Phoenix.

"Whether it's about going solar, a different watering system, a new gardening technique, you can ask the experts for all the information you need," said spokeswoman Tiffany Hilburn.

Since none of the dozens of vendors will be present to turn profits, environmentally-minded people can feel at ease to ask questions, get informed without any sales pitches.

Tuesday's Earth Day event starts at 11 a.m. and goes until 1:30 p.m.
