FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- A suspect was in custody in connection with a shooting at a Flagstaff home that has left the victim clinging to life.

Flagstaff police said 54-year-old George Azar is being held on suspicion of second-degree attempted homicide and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

He was booked Thursday night into the Coconino County Jail.

Larry Hernandez, 38, suffered life-threatening injuries and remained in intensive care at Flagstaff Medical Center.

The Arizona Daily Sun reported that Azar and Hernandez worked together and may have been in a dispute over money.

Police said the shooting occurred at Azar's house.
