2 bodies found on Phoenix’s west side

PHOENIX — Phoenix police have begun investigating a suspected
homicide-suicide at a west side apartment Monday morning.

Police said a woman, 33, had been shot to death at an apartment near 77th Avenue an McDowell Road. Three children under the age of 12 had been asleep inside during the shooting.

The suspected shooter, the woman’s husband, 32, was found dead in his car near 15th Avenue and Indian School Road. Police said a gunshot wound on the body appeared to be self-inflicted.

Names have not been released. The children were taken into custody by child welfare workers.
