RIMROCK, Ariz. -- Yavapai County authorities say a man had to be airlifted to a Flagstaff hospital after he was stabbed at a bar.
Yavapai County Sheriff's spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn said deputies responded Friday around 1:45 a.m. to the McGuireville Tavern in Rimrock and found a man bleeding from the chest and a knee.
D'Evelyn said the 38-year-old Cottonwood man alleged that a man he didn't know stabbed him without provocation.
Deputies said they conducted first aid until the man was transported to Verde Valley Medical Center.
D'Evelyn said the victim was then flown to Flagstaff Medical Center.
Witnesses told investigators a man who had a knife fled the area.
D'Evelyn said detectives expect to make an arrest soon but did not release any details about a possible suspect.
