KINGMAN, Ariz. -- Two Texas residents in the country illegally have been arrested in northwestern Arizona for allegedly having forged passports and garbage bags filled with marijuana.

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies say 28-year-old Jose Luis Lozano and 28-year-old Juan Antonio remained jailed Friday and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed holds on both men.

The two Dallas residents were arrested about 11 p.m. Thursday as they were driving to Texas from California.

Deputies pulled their vehicle over on Interstate 40 and say Lozano and Antonio had passports that were determined to be forged.

Authorities searched the vehicle's truck and say they found three garbage bags with marijuana.

Deputies say the bags contained 39 bundles of marijuana and weighed a combined 41 pounds. The marijuana had an estimated value of about $205,000.
