PHOENIX -- A former school bus aide for a Phoenix school district has been sentenced to 15 years in prison in a child-sex case.
Andres Rodriguez Mendoza, 72, also was placed on lifetime probation Tuesday by Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Bruce Cohen, said a court spokeswoman.
Mendoza pleaded guilty to three counts of attempted child molestation.
He was accused of molesting an 11-year-old special-needs student and was originally booked on multiple counts of molestation of a child and sexual conduct with a minor.
He had worked for the Washington School District for seven years.
