PHOENIX -- Authorities say two teenage drivers are facing charges after street racing and causing a crash that seriously injured a landscaper in Phoenix.

Phoenix police say a 17-year-old boy apparently was racing a 16-year-old boy Wednesday morning.

They say the 16-year-old's car touched off a five-vehicle collision at an east Phoenix intersection.

Police say an exterminator's pickup truck collided with a car before the truck went into a yard where the landscaper was working.

Two vehicles in that yard were struck by debris, as was an additional vehicle on a street.

Police say the 16-year-old boy fled the scene after the crash while the other teen was detained for questioning.

They say both teens are facing charges of aggravated assault and endangerment. Their names haven't been released.
