PHOENIX — Police said a woman charged with fatally shooting a man and injuring another outside a central Phoenix bar apparently had an altercation with the victims at a nearby pub shortly before the killing.
Jessica Wood, 29, was held on charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder after the Friday night shooting. Maricopa County jail officials did not respond to an Associated Press request Monday to interview Wood.
According to police, Wood approached the two men and opened fired.
One man later died from a gunshot wound to his leg. Another man remained hospitalized Monday.
Police records indicated both victims were at a nearby bar prior to the shooting, where they got into an altercation with a woman matching Wood's description.
