PHOENIX -- Police say two men targeted by a woman in a deadly shooting outside a central Phoenix sports bar appear to have been random victims.
Officer James Holmes said 52-year-old Thomas Allen Marcussen is dead and a 44-year-old man remains hospitalized after they were shot late Friday night at Zipps Sports Grill near 16th Street and Bethany Home Road.
Holmes said 29-year-old Jessica Wood approached the men while they were seated at a bench on the east side of the restaurant and began shooting.
Authorities said a witness was able to disarm Wood and held her until police arrived.
Holmes said detectives have found no evidence of any relationship between Wood and the victims.
He said she showed signs of intoxication.
Police are planning to book her murder-related charges.
