SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- A woman is accused of child abuse after allegedly leaving her two young children in a hot car while she interviewed for a job in Scottsdale.

Scottsdale police say 35-year-old Shanesha Taylor was arrested Thursday afternoon and her children are in state custody.

A witness reported hearing a crying child inside a vehicle parked in an office complex parking lot about 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

The witness told police that the 2-year-old child and 6-month-old baby were inside the vehicle parked directly in the sun, with the engine off, the doors closed and the four windows only slightly open.

Police say Taylor returned to the vehicle about 45 minutes later.

Taylor told an officer that she had just finished a job interview and didn't have anyone to watch her children.
