Prison officials: Arizona inmate dies after attack in Buckeye
BUCKEYE, Ariz. -- The Arizona Department of Corrections said a prison inmate has died in an apparent homicide.
Officers found Alexander Clark, 27, lying injured on the ground Monday evening, after they broke up what appeared to be a fight. About 20 inmates were involved in the scuffle in the recreation yard at the Bachman medium-security unit of the Lewis prison complex in Buckeye.
Clark went to prison in 2006 after being sentenced on Pima County convictions for burglary, robbery, armed robbery, kidnapping, aggravated assault, and misconduct with weapons.
