FLORENCE, Ariz. -- A San Tan Valley man $25,000 behind in child-support payments was arrested after authorities in a golf cart chased him down.

Pinal County Sheriff's officials said 47-year-old Patrick G. Moloney was booked into the jail on an outstanding warrant from Maricopa County Superior Court for failing to pay child support.

Bond was set at $10,000.

Maloney ran from his home near Johnson Ranch Golf Course last Thursday after sheriff's deputies went there looking for him.

They used a golf cart to chase him down.

Moloney's ex-wife told authorities that he allegedly was planning to leave the area as soon as he received a tax refund check.
