State universities submit 2014-15 tuition proposals
PHOENIX -- The presidents of Arizona's three state universities have submitted tuition proposals for the 2014-15 academic year.
The University of Arizona is proposing 2 percent tuition increase for in-state students this fall and a 5 percent hike for nonresidents.
Arizona State University submitted a proposal Friday with no tuition increase for resident undergraduate students and a 3 percent hike for nonresident students.
Northern Arizona University is keeping tuition costs stable for undergraduate students on the eight-semester Pledge program. But the Flagstaff school is seeking a 2.6 percent tuition increase for incoming in-state freshmen and 1.9 percent for new nonresident undergraduate students.
The Arizona Board of Regents will host a March 25 interactive public meeting on the proposals.
The board will vote on the tuition recommendations on April 3 in Tucson.
