NACO, Ariz. -- Authorities said an abandoned pickup truck carrying more than 1,600 pounds of marijuana after federal agents was recovered in Cochise County.

According to the Border Patrol, camera-system operators were able to direct agents to an area where three trucks were traveling north from the U.S.-Mexico border Thursday morning.

As agents moved in, two of the trucks returned to Mexico. However, the third with 79 bundles of marijuana was abandoned on the U.S. side of the border.

No arrests were made.
