GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz. -- Authorities are investigating the death of a West Virginia man who collapsed at the entrance to the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park.

Rangers said Brian Brewer of West Virginia was visiting the park with his family Sunday afternoon and complained of not feeling well.

He was en route back to his hotel when park rangers said Brewer was found not breathing at the entrance station.

A ranger administered CPR and used a defibrillator to no avail.

Rangers said the cause of Brewer's death is unclear and an investigation is being conducted by the National Park Service and the Coconino County Medical Examiner.
