PHOENIX -- An April 21 trial has been scheduled for a plastic surgeon accused of breaking into a Scottsdale medical office to steal medicinal cocaine.
Dr. Paul Kenneth Holden has pleaded not guilty to a felony burglary charge.
Authorities said Holden, 42, sneaked into the North Valley Surgical Center, which is in the same building as his office, to steal five vials of the drug.
Police said a woman who was cleaning the office late at night in July discovered Holden hiding behind a metal rack in a hall next to the pharmacy.
The woman said Holden chased her and assured her that nothing abnormal was going on.
Holden then went into the pharmacy while the woman resumed her work.
Authorities said people who worked at the building recognized Holden from security footage.
