LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. -- Police say a Lake Havasu City man shot another man outside a duplex before turning the gun on himself.
Authorities say 56-year-old David Schwan died Friday after he shot the 41-year-old victim and then randomly fired several rounds before shooting himself.
According to Sgt. Troy Stirling, the shooting was reported around 7:30 a.m.
Stirling says Schwan reportedly knocked on the door of the duplex in an enraged state and the victim, who lived in the adjacent residence, went out to confront Schwan.
Police say Schwan shot the man with a handgun.
Officers say the victim was flown to a Las Vegas hospital, where he is listed in critical condition, and Schwan was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two people and a 5-year-old child inside the duplex were unharmed.
