listen Listen: Matt Peterson - Wants to go to Prom with Miley Cyrus
Valley student, Matt Peterson wants to go to prom with Miley Cyrus.

PHOENIX -- He may still be without a date, but one Valley teenager received a special serenade from Miley Cyrus after she turned down his prom invitation.

Matt Peterson, a senior at Arcadia High School, originally asked Cyrus to the prom in a video and social media campaign. After all, he had history with the singer, so why not shoot for the star? Or is it stars?

Despite meeting Peterson twice, Cyrus turned Peterson down. She's pretty busy, what with her on-going North American Bangerz Tour, but she made it up to him Thursday in Phoenix.

Cyrus brought Peterson on stage to cheers from the crowd. She then danced with him while singing "Adore You."

And Peterson was sure to remember the corsage.,
