PHOENIX -- If you're looking for one of the best museums in the world, you may be a lot closer than you think.

According 10 Best, part of USA Today Travel, named the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix as the fourth-best museum for families in the nation.

"The World's Only Global Musical Instrument Museum" displays instruments from around the world. Certainly not just for music lovers, this Phoenix museum offers a fascinating peek into the mechanics of mysterious instruments like mechanical zithers and more. An experience gallery welcomes kids and adults to bang and strum drums and harps.

Overall, the top museum in the nation for families is the Children's Museum of Indianapolis, followed by the Children's Museum of Houston and the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, respectively.
