PHOENIX — A man and woman were seriously injured in a shed fire in Glendale early Friday morning.
The structure, behind a trailer on property near 35th Avenue and Deer Valley Road, caught fire around 6 a.m. The two unidentified men were taken to a hospital with life-threatening burns.
Phoenix Fire Capt. Kevin Westfall said the couple had built bonfires on the property, where they had been living without the owners’ permission.
Easton Bull, who lives across the street, heard the explosions and rushed to help.
“The flames coming over the house were twice the size of the house,” he said. “I ran across the street to help the woman, who was crawling away and then the man came out. Both were very burned.”
Investigators haven’t pinpointed cause of the fire, but said the shed was crammed with belongings.
