TUCSON, Ariz. -- Pima County authorities say a missing 83-year-old man has been found dead in the desert in the vicinity of his home east of Tucson.

County sheriff's officials say there are no obvious signs of trauma or anything else suspicious regarding the death of John Freeman.

Sheriff's Deputy Courtney Rodriguez says Freeman's body was found late Monday night about a mile from his home.

Freeman was reported missing earlier in the day after he didn't return from a walk.
