PHOENIX -- A Phoenix man has been arrested after police said he fired several rounds through the windshield of a car with a man, woman and 7-year-old inside.
The Arizona Republic reports that 23-year-old Jesse Soto was arrested Sunday and booked on suspicion of aggravated assault.
According to police, a 28-year-old victim was shot following an argument outside a south Phoenix home. Phoenix Police Department Sgt. James Holmes says the victim was shot in the upper body and momentarily chased the gunman.
Holmes says woman and child were not injured.
Holmes says victim was transported to a hospital, where he is in serious condition.
It was not known if Soto had an attorney.
