PHOENIX -- A woman has been sentenced to eight years in prison for running a red light and causing a fatal crash at a Phoenix bus stop.
Elsa Olivares also was sentenced Friday to four years of supervised probation.
The 23-year-old Olivares pleaded guilty to manslaughter and aggravated assault last month at a change-of-plea hearing.
Phoenix police said Olivares took off after the crash last May 13, but later turned herself in to authorities.
A 50-year-old man was killed and another person injured in the accident.
Olivares originally was booked into jail on suspicion of second-degree murder, aggravated assault, endangerment and leaving the scene of a fatal collision.
