Goodyear Police Department gets new motorcycles
PHOENIX -- The Goodyear Police Department is now equipped with some of the safest police motorcycles available.
According to a Goodyear police press release, the department bought five new Victory police motorcycles for its traffic unit late last month, replacing the BMW bikes previously used by the department.
The Victory motorcycles are equipped with advanced safety features designed with police work in mind, according to the department, including steel crash bars, full-length skid plates, advanced firearm protection and premium headlights.
Police didn't say how much the bikes cost, though similar models sell for around $13,000.
