PHOENIX -- The City of Phoenix planned its 20th annual ceremony to honor municipal employees who died on the job.

The ceremony was set for Thursday morning at the Orpheum Theatre.

Officials planned to honor three city employees who died last year, including firefighters Brandi Schamadan and Brad Harper, and Phoenix Police Officer Daryl Raetz.

The ceremony is expected to be attended by Mayor Greg Stanton, Vice Mayor Bill Gates and City Council members, among others.

After the ceremony, employees were to form a line of unity to the Public Employee Memorial just outside City Hall.
