PHOENIX — The eyes of many college students are beginning to search calendars for that glorious week called “spring break.”
According to a new report from Travelocity, many of those eyes could soon be looking to the Phoenix metro area, which was ranked the third-best place in the nation for students to spend the week off.
One of the main reasons for the Valley’s high ranking was the cost of a round-trip ticket, which averages $383. The average cost for a domestic airfare ticket is $442.
Overall, Travelocity said south Florida is again the top destination for students on break, followed by Orlando, which is in central Florida. The other two cities in the top five were Fort Myers, Fla. and Las Vegas, respectively.
