Multiplex house fire displaces 14 in Phoenix

PHOENIX — A fire in a fourplex Friday morning that burned twice displaced 14 residents but no one was hurt.
Phoenix Fire had responded to a call around 2 a.m. near 48th Street and Baseline Road. After extinguishing the fire in one unit, they left around 4 a.m. By 8 a.m. crews returned to another fire at the address.
In all, three of the units were damaged by smoke and water; the unit that burned originally was gutted by fire. That unit had been home to four people.
