PHOENIX -- A Phoenix man is in custody for allegedly taking his two young daughters with him on a drug deal.
Phoenix police said 25-year-old Anthony Castaneda met a man at a fast-food restaurant Monday afternoon and then drove him to a house to buy $300 worth of heroin.
They said Castaneda's cut for buying the drugs was just $20.
Police said Castaneda allegedly took his 2-year-old daughter into the drug house while leaving his 6-year-old daughter asleep in the backseat with a known addict.
Undercover officers followed the two men as they were driving away from the home, pulled them over and reported finding heroin in the car.
Police said Castaneda is being held on suspicion of child abuse and drug charges.
The other man had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
