Phoenix police looking to hire 15 officers

PHOENIX — Calling all applicants: The Phoenix Police Department is now hiring.

“We’re looking for individuals who are certified peace officers so we can put them on the street as soon as possible,” said Phoenix Police Sgt. Tommy Thompson.

A federal grant freed up funds for the department to hire new officers.

All accepted applicants will have to pass a screening, which includes a physical agility test, drug screening and criminal background check.

Applications will be accepted through Feb. 18.
